Good news to UHURU/ RUTO as RAILA says CORD will not participate in 2017 elections

Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leaders have said that they will not participate in the 2017 General Elections if the current Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) will not be disbanded.

Addressing journalists at Uhuru Park on Monday, CORD Secretariat boss, Norman Magaya, said CORD coalition will not participate in the 2017 General Elections because the IEBC has been compromised.

“We cannot take ourself to the slaughter house knowing very well that IEBC has been compromised by the Jubilee Government,” Magaya said.

Magaya’s sentiments were echoed by Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho, who said CORD will not participate in the 2017 General Elections because Jubilee has already rigged the poll through the current electoral body.

Joho said CORD coalition will continue with demos to pressurise the Government to disband IEBC saying CORD leaders are ready to die fighting for the reconstitution of the current IEBC.
