In an editorial in one of the local dailies on Monday, Midiwo, who is also the Deputy Minority Leader in Parliament, said it is not a coincidence that every time there is an election, there are clashes perpetrated by Ugandans on Kenyan soil.
“Why is it that such issues never occurred during President Daniel Moi’s time? What I can say is that these are advance plans to rig the 2017 election,” Midiwo said.
Midiwo said the Jubilee Government knows that CORD leader, Raila Odinga, is going to win the General Election in 2017 and that is why the Government is trying to destabilise Nyanza region which is the stronghold of the indefatigable CORD leader.
“That is why these clashes are happening to destabilise out people. But it will never happen again - We would rather die than watch Uganda President Yoweri Museveni kill our people,” said Midiwo.
