The mighty KDF kills 19 ALSHABAAB militants like coakroaches in Afmadhow, Somalia

The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) have killed 19 Al Shabaab terrorists who tried to attack a KDF base in Afmadhow, Lower Juba region this morning.

According to a statement issued by the Department of Defence on Wednesday, the militants tried to attack a KDF base at around 1.00 am but they met fierce fire from the mighty KDF who killed them like cockroaches.

“The Al Shabaab terrorists had approached the camp at night with the intent to attack and cut off Somali National Army from the KDF camp. KDF soldiers on patrol identified the militants and engaged them in a fierce battle. The Al Shabaab attempted to fight back but were swiftly repulsed by KDF soldiers,” DoD spokesman, Colonel David Obonyo, said in a statement.

Obonyo said after killing 19 of them, KDF destroyed their armoured car and recovered 10 AK 47 guns and 3 Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs).

From January 1st this year, KDF has intensified its operation in Somalia, killing over 1,000 Al Shabaab militants and injuring dozens.
