Speaking in Majengo on Sunday, Joho said Uhuru cannot decide who will be President of Kenya in the next two decades.
“I will be the first President of Kenya from the Coast in 2022,” Joho said.
“The other day, I heard them say in Nakuru that other leaders will have to wait until 2032 to take over the leadership. This country cannot be led by two communities only,” Joho added.
After addressing the meeting, Joho who was accompanied by Mvita MP, Abdulswamad Nassir, walked through the streets of Majengo saying they don’t want bodyguards from the Jubilee Government.
Nassir said he will support Joho’s intended bid for President for 2022.
“We have a President for 2022 here with us today,” Nassir said amid cheers from thousands of his supporters.
