Addressing journalists after meeting Joho at his office in Nairobi, Raila encouraged the embattled Governor to remain firm in his beliefs and commitment to the party and fight for what is right for his people.
The former Premier also assured the Governor and other Coast leaders of his personal support against intimidation by the national Government.
Raila also thanked the people of Malindi for standing with ODM despite intimidation by the national Government and massive bribery.
Meanwhile, Joho through his lawyer, Ahmednassir Abdulahi, has appealed against a move by Interior Cabinet Secretary, Joseph Nkaissery, to revoke his gun licence.
In a letter to Nkaissery, Joho told Nkaissery that the Chief Licensing Officer, Samwel Kimaru, had acted beyond his powers while revoking his license.
Joho claimed that Kimaru was being used by Jubilee operatives to frustrate him and vowed not to be intimidated by such a junior officer.
