Embarrassment! RUTO ‘rejected’ in Kericho again - See what they did to him yesterday

It appears no one cares anymore about Deputy President William Ruto in Kericho even after leading a massive campaign a fortnight ago that thrust Aaron Cheruiyot to the Senate.

On Saturday, the DP was left all alone on the rain during a homecoming ceremony for the newly elected Senator, Aaron Cheruiyot.

Ruto, who was addressing the crowd that had come to celebrate with Cheruiyot, was shocked when rain began pounding the area suddenly and no one bothered even to give him an umbrella until it subsided.

The Deputy President was rained on until his suit was drenched and soaked with rain water and by the time he finished his speech, he was looking soggy.

Surprisingly, not even his host, Cheruiyot, the man he helped beat KANU for the Kericho Senator’s seat in the by-election, came to his rescue.

After the embarrassing incident, it was obvious that the organizers of the event did not have any special arrangement for the Deputy President who was the chief guest.

During the campaigns, residents rejected Ruto, accusing him and President Uhuru Kenyatta of abandoning them since taking over power.
