After missing in action for over one month, Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has come out to explain why he went missing and where he has been hiding since.

Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV, Mutua revealed that he had gone to look for jobs for the jobless young people in Machakos and that he had no apologies.

“I went to Tanzania, one of our largest trading partners, to look for possible partnership in agriculture. I also went to Dubai and Abu Dhabi to look for jobs for our youth and managed to secure 2,000 jobs for those with diplomas and degrees to go and work as professionals for two to three years.

“Ashok Leyland is also interested in setting up a manufacturing plant of motor vehicles in Machakos and this will sprout other industries around it leading to youth employment.

“Three different fruit factories are also planning to set up base in the County and this will improve the living standards of farmers since their fruits will no longer go to waste,” said Mutua.

Mutua also revealed that his absence for a good course was killing former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka because he hates development.

“I think people panicked because I went to bring goodies for the people of Machakos County. People like Kalonzo thrive on poverty and bringing development is a real threat to them,” he said.
