Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV, Mutua officially ditched former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s CORD and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party, saying he won’t defend his seat on a CORD ticket.
He also denounced President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, saying he won’t join Jubilee after ditching CORD.
He said he will defend his Gubernatorial seat in 2017 on Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement (MCCM), saying he does not trust anybody in Government or in Opposition.
Mutua exuded confidence of winning back his seat in 2017 on his new party, saying he has immense support from residents and local leaders in Machakos who believe in him and his transformational leadership.
“I have, in my camp, Mwala MP, Vincent Musyoka, and several MPs from Makueni, Kitui and Machakos. Other legislators are scared of joining me for fear of intimidation from Wiper supremo,” said Mutua.
